Basic Soap Recipe (With ingredients that are easy to get a hold of)

Has anybody got a recipe for basic soap with scented oils, etc, but made with ingredients that I would be able to find around the house or in a supermarket? Not order online if poss.

If you're looking for something easy to make, it doesn't get any easier than a melt-and-pour soap. You can add pretty much anything to them for color or fragrance.

2lb blocks of soap are typically the smallest size you can get, and run between $7 and $15. Michael's, Jo-Ann, Pat Catan's, and Hobby Lobby all carry the very basic soapmaking materials.

I get my melt and pour soap, scents, colors, and oils from Hobby Lobby.
