semi permanent hair color
i want to dye/color my (dirty dirty blonde) hair light brown with semi permanent dye. ive been doing a lot of research and when i find one that looks good, i find a bunch of reviews about how awful it is! so if u know of any good ones let me know
I've always just bought boxed dyes. And I've never had any that were really bad. I think the most I used was the HerbaShine and Natural Instincts. I'm pretty positive those are both semi permanent. And I've used them both before and never had a problem with either. I think I used the Natural Instincts more.
I've never used a natural looking semi-permanent hair colour before so I don't know how they are. I've made my hair pink, purple and blue before with semi-permanent dye before though and I loved it. Unfortunately the brand that I used doesn't have any browns except a really dark brown, almost black.
i wad thinking of using herbashine, but i was wondering if the peroxide messes up ur hair? cuz if it soesnt i will most likely use it... did it damage ur hair at all, cuz thats the thing im most conserned about
My hair is actually really healthy and I have dyed it I'd say about three or four times a year for the last four years. Probably a lot more than that. Cause I have dyed it lots of different colors. But the only time my hair has ever been damaged was when I bleached it too much.
cool thanx!
bleaching your hair is what damages it. I dye mine ever month or so and its still in good shape. I do use olive oil every other month to deep condition it though.

there is the link to where i buy my semi permanent hair dye (bright purple) but they do browns and burgundys too =] there is also a gallery so you can see what the end result. It is a really good site for seeing what the dye will look like on. Also the forum is really good for asking questions.
Hope it helps

Oh I forgot to mention Manic panic, Special effects and crazy colour are all really good brands of semi permanent hair dye. If you are going to use semi perm without bleaching go swimming first.
It sounds really strange but the chlorine makes your hair porous so the dye will take to your hair.
here is a gallery for unbleached hair:
