Mohawk?

Well I didn't get a mohawk. But I have ended up with this colour hair:





It was meant to be orange? But the orange looked crap so I tried putting brown on it. And it went...green. And then I have that brown/ginger streak which is from when I had a black streak.

Your hair would look awesome backcombed and it wouldn't be permenant

I tried coloring my bangs purple and ended up with red,orange so i colored it back to black today.It was so ugly.But still have that stripe purple(its green on the picture i posted here)
Im thinking of cutting my dreads shorter and growing my bangs back to long,but still not sure...

Yeah I put on the headscarf to tone it down a little bit =P

I actually want to keep it green but my mother does NOT approve haha.

Well it's changed again! Now it looks like this:



I don't think it actually looks that orange in real life, I think that's just because of the flash, but you get the idea. I'm gonna buy some more orange tomorrow and put it over. It's a really boring colour for me, which sucks, but I need to get a job so it's pretty much this or bleach blonde. I'll see.

(Although, I recently changed mine up from my userpic- My girlyburns are no longer there and my hair's all black for now)

A fair alternative is doing an undercut instead of a full hawk. att that means is shaving a portion o one or both sides of your head. I keep a one sided undercut most winters and one on both sides in the summer. Here's a picture.

Autonomous, you properly have that idea in my head now =P I probably wouldn't have as much shaved as yours - I'd definitely still want my long bits at the front, framing my face, and I'd probably just get along from the top of the ear and down shaved. But yours looks fairly long on the sides, which is what I want - I don't want it shaved, just maybe about an inch or two long. So basically what I wanted in that original picture, but less being trimmed. Does this sound pleasing to everyone?

I'm going in for surgery and would really like to get a new hair cut and colour before then so I can feel a bit better about myself when I'm feeling rotten. I'm thinking bright red for the long bit and leave the bottom bit my natural colour, which is a light brown. I also have a friend's wedding in October that I think it would be nice for =) now just to see what the boyfriend and parents think...

i say go for it!XD if you want to tone it down for the wedding or what not you could always curl the long bit on top, to soften up the whole look

Oh no my friend is awesome, she doesn't mind me looking a bit punky as long as I'm presentable (eg, wearing a dress and not dungarees) and not wearing pink. Pink is strictly banned =P but yeah, I can just wear it down so you can't see that it's cut underneath.

ooh and i had another idea to maybe help you decide!XD i dont know how long your hair is but you could try a fauxhawk tutorial take a picture and see if you like it. or you know...a mirrorXD
