If someone asked me what movie most relates to me and how I feel, I'd probably say Peter Pan. Peter wanted to stay a young boy and well, so do I. The latest craze(where I live anyway) for teens is to wear little kid bags and accessories. I myself have an elmo bag,pjs and lots of other elmo things- he's really cute. I'm not just doing it because it's in fashion it's coz it's an excuse to relive my childhood. I don't think I appreciated my childhood enough or maybe I didn't get much of one( I have a disabled brother with autism and he wasn't very well behaved when he was younger so a lot of my parents time was with him. I also had to grow up quicker. I was faced with the real world early on, I couldn't just pretend that life was all about rainbows and unicorns). I'm 14 now and still look at the children's toy catalogues and go round the toy section in the shops, I read barbie magazine when my friends were reading the teen mags, I love my boardgames and I like playing with my toys from when I was younger oh and I like to watch a couple of the little kiddie shows. Don't get me wrong though I'm not a total little kid either- I like makeup fashion music, etc I'm just wishing for my childhood again. As my friend said to me once "You're a teenager trapped in a child's body".

I enjoyed my childhood, but it was much too short. Now it feels like it was a really fast run through years 4-13.
But whatever about being grown up and having to be stodgy and unfun. Pay your bills, sure, but forget the rest. Go play.
I've found grown up ideas of "fun" at the bar, or spending too much money, or other blah pursuits boring.
