How-To Make A Pom Pom

Learn how-to make a pom pom with Dot from Littletheorem Knits and then use one to make her gorgeous Cloud Cover Hat.

• 

  Step 1

  Cut an 8" piece from a ball of yarn

• 

  Step 2

  Wrap yarn from the ball around your hand. I used super chunky yarn and wrapped it 50 times.

• 

  Step 3

  Thread 8" length yarn between your middle and ring fingers as shown.

• 

  Step 4

  It should look like this at the back of your hand.

• 

  Step 5

  Tie the 8" piece of yarn with two overhand knots as tightly as possible.

• 

  Step 6

  Slip it off the hand and cut the loops at either side.

• 

  Step 7

  It'll be pretty messy at first!

• 

  Step 8

  Trim the ends and roll it in your palms to neaten it up!
