Makeover Monday
Our members & beauty bloggers recreate the look of their favorite stars and get creative by giving them a makeover
Serena from A loser like me recreates the make-up of Katy Perry in her This Is How We Do music video and gives her a grunge makeover.
Katy Perry is probably my favourite Hollywood Star right now, she's funny and sexy at the same time, she's edgy and cute.. I love her style cause it just reflects these characteristics at the same time! I'd love to give her a makeover cause she's such a chameleonic woman, she's rocked every single look you could possibly imagine: she's a california girl, she can roar like a lion and cast a perfect storm and her love is extraterrestrial. So the real challenge was to find something not too sophisticated that everyone could recreate and wear but that I hope she would still appreciate and like.
Khami recreates the makeup of Demi Lovato and gives her a blues-y babe makeover.
What I like about Demi’s style is her fluidity with looks. She can go from flirty and feminine to totally glam rock and she pulls it all off. She is unapologetically herself, both in style and the way she carries herself, and I think that’s what I love the most.
KatieAlves recreates the colourful makeup of Katy Perry and gives her a makeover inspired by her Roar music video.
I love how fun and colourful Katy Perry's style can be. Seeing some of her outfits from her tours is jaw dropping sometimes. The creativity is amazing! It's interesting to see how many different styles she can pull off. She's got her crazy, colourful side with cupcakes and candies. Then she can have a super glamorous look then switch it up and go dark, punky and gothic. It's always a surprise with her! Katy Perry's style is quite similar to mine. So doing a makeup for her would be amazing. I feel like she would be up for just about anything. She wouldn't be too shy to wear something absolutely out of this world, which is something a makeup artist always dreams of!
Michty Maxx recreates the look of musician & singer Lzzy Hale and gives her an amped up spiky makeover.
It's simple rock chick makeup and it's practically the same what I used to wear on stage when I was in my first band, so I kinda felt kinship there. Plus I really love the band she sings for, which is Halestorm and you should definitely check out their music!
Layla from Bellisima Lolita Makeup recreates the look of actress Chloë Moretz and gives her a sultry colourful makeover.
I love how she can rock and pull of a smokey eye without even trying! She even seems to like a bit of grungy makeup and I love that too. I'd like to give her a makeover to play on her features and try something I haven't seen her wear makeup-wise.
Liz from Liquid Jelly recreates Alexa Chung's evil eye nail art and gives her an edgy feminine manicure:
I love how Alexa Chung's style is both laid back and chic at the same time. It looks effortless because of how well each piece works with each other. And while her outfits look relaxed, they still look refined.
Allison from Quiet Lion Creations recreated the look of Taylor Swift and gives her a bohemian beauty makeover:
The great thing about Taylor Swift is her natural beauty. With minimal makeup and that great curly hair, her style is all about All-American glamour. I wanted to give her style a makeover to something more moody, more gypsy-esque. I think that it would be a great contrast from her otherwise sweet, girl-next-door persona!
