About
Ohh, I really don't know. My name is Courtney, I'm eighteen, finished high school and French Immersion, and I'm embarking on a fascinating journey through higher education at UVic next fall! I hope to emerge from it all with a biology major and psychology minor. Those are the only two things in my life that make sense, besides design
Colour has always fascinated me; as a kid, I'd collect nail polish just because the colours were beautiful and pure, makeup I didn't know how to use because it was pretty, rocks, especially semi- and precious stones and polished rocks because they were bright and beautiful (consequently, now I have a drawer full of junk polishes and powders, and a little pile of rocks I have to think of something to do with. XP Perhaps some jewelery venture...?)
I want to go back to school after a little bit of travel, after my bachelor's, because I want to get a PhD, I want everyone to have to address me as doctor. XP And if that career path isn't fruitful, I'll probably look to some of my other passions :3 I have my guitar, I have my creativity, I'm sure I can make it work!
I love designing clothes, I draw for no other reason than to draw outfits, and if I was a little more handy with a sewing machine, my many ideas and attempts would probably be a bit more successful. I love anything offbeat, unusual, uncommon, or unique. I love steampunk-influenced pieces, I love the idea of lolita, but it looks ridiculous on me, I love corsets and neo-victorian styles, I love visual kei and I love western punk, I love leather and lace, I love silk, satin, studs and steel, I love brass, copper, ribbon and tulle. I don't want to be another cookie-cutter slutty girl, I want to make my own statements, I want people to take one look at me and understand that I've got my own revolutionary mind, and that I won't be dominated.

I noticed that you were experiencing difficulties when sewing several layers of material with your mothers sewing machine? I assume that it has a fixed foot that applies the pressure around the sewing needle, I purchased a floating foot for my ancient Singer machine that could accomadate 3-4 layers of imitation leather when I was sewing car seat squabs (covers). Do hope that this information helps answer your question
PLease do drop me a message if you need any explanation of what I am trying to explain, will try to clarify more.
Hugs from Carla.
