What are your hobbies?
Reading. I read about a book or two a week. I also like to write, which I do in spurts. I am in the middle of a writer's block right now, but I have had a few poems and essays published. Someday I would like to write a novel.
What are your favorite crafts and what's your craft space like?
I love to embroider. I mostly embroider and finish in a traditional hoops, but I also stitch my daughters' jeans, sleeping masks, pillows. I will embroider anything if it sits still long enough.
What do you craft along to?
I love to sit and embroider watching my favorite TV shows: Buffy, Veronica Mars, Dexter, Orange is the New Black, etc., but my favorite thing is to listen to audiobooks while I stitch. I am a bookaholic.
What was the first project you ever made?
Hmm. I can't. It was probably something tole painted, because it was the 80s and my mother tole painted everything if it sat still long enough.
What are your favorite items to make?
Any gift that is meaningful for a friend.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I am not a super Pinterest phenom. The things I do well, I do because I have a passion for them. I don't try and look perfect and shellacked because that would be a waste of my time.
