When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
I learned to sew at 18, when I want to apply to fashion school. I tried to teach myself but total failed it, so I took a sewing class from a sewing place in Edmonton.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
Yes. A blue bodice. I used the wrong side and made it too small. Commercial
pattern size 6 is not the same as store brought size 6! Didn't know that back then. Oops!
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
I love the vintage vogue patterns
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
I am lucky to be able to be able to sew at the studio, so I have 2000 square feet of space to myself sometimes. The space always start out pretty clean, and it would end up a hot mess when I am done. I don't even know how I can use up half the space making one thing.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
CBC Radio 2 or any murder podcast
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I play the cello and piano when I want to relax.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Straight line is over rated.
