When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I've always enjoyed cooking, but it wasn't until my husband and I moved into our house and I had a real kitchen that I found my passion for it. I started culinary school a couple of years ago... there's no looking back now!
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
UGH! My kitchen is a nightmare. It's small and has NO storage. I have my pots and pans in a bedroom closet, all of my gadgets in the hall closet... it's nuts! I do, however, stay organized while cooking. I think it's really important to prep all of your ingredients before you start making anything... and do your dishes as you go!
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Experiment! You won't get better unless you practice. I also suggest trying everything at least once - you'll develop a better palate and find things you really enjoy.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
These questions are so hard! Honestly, I would just throw a huge dinner party for all of my family & friends. I don't have a clue what I would serve for the main entree, but herbed boursin smashed potatoes are sounding especially delicious at the moment. I would also make some sort of crusty artisan bread, a microgreen salad with cherry balsamic vinaigrette, and for dessert, a chocolate espresso mousse with a raspberry coulis. And ice cream. :)
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love doing any sort of paper craft project (when I can find the time). I also enjoy painting, taking photos of my baby, and (honestly) baking up a storm.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I love what I do and I'm so glad that I'm able to share it with you! :D
