Make your own twisted towel hair wrap.
Wrapping your wet hair in a towel can be heavy and awkward. Here is an easy tutorial to create your own hair towel wrap that is light weight and not neck breaking. Find the pattern attached.

    You will need:
    Pattern -attached or make your own
    Fabric - 3/4 yard of terry cloth
    Elastic - 1 elastic hair band or a piece of elastic
    Button - 1 inch or larger
    Needle/Thread/Pins
    Sewing Machine

    You can make your own pattern similar to the picture or use the pattern attached. If you make your own it should be at least 24 inches long and the width at the widest part at least 10 inches.

    Cut 2 of your fabric. You can use terry cloth or recycle any old towels you may have.

    Because terry cloth frays A LOT I prefer to finish my seams using a french seam. Pin your two pieces, right sides together and sew 1/4 inch around curved edge.

    Trim seam down to 1/8th. Turn inside out and iron your seam flat. Now sew 3/8th around the curved edge again. Turn right side out and iron seam.

    Now you have pretty seam on the inside as well as the outside.

    Next you'll need to finish the bottom hem and attach your elastic. Do this by folding up your raw edge by 1/4 inch, twice. Insert your elastic in between the seam on the narrow end of your wrap.

    Sew your folded edge in place all the way around. I back tack a couple of times when I reach the elastic to make sure it's nice and secure.

    Sew your button onto the larger end of your wrap.

    And your done! Now go wash your hair and try out your new wrap!
