Thor's Mighty Mjolnir Necklace

"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of... THOR!"
I love Thor <3 I love the older comic books and the movies are to die for! So I needed something to show off my loyalty to my favorite Asgardian for this weeks big premier of The Avengers!!

I made this Mjolnir from polymer clay, then baked it and painted the head of the hammer silver, because I didn't have any silver clay. Then I just hung it from a leather cord necklace.

I wore it around all day on Saturday, to Free Comic Book Day, where I picked up a bunch of new free comics and also a few older Thor comics! Then later to The Avengers movie, which I saw in "real3D" and it was amazing fyi :D

I had lots of compliments and most people thought I had just taken it off an action figure toy, because they thought it looked that well made! That was great to hear, lol.

Anyway I love my Mjolnir, I think it turned out great, not I just need to figure out how to make Thor's helm, and then something to represent Loki. Even though he's always a bad guy, I still <3 him too, lol.
