Turn sea shells into nautical inspired candles!

    Collect some shells from your local beach. I used oyster shells to make my candles a little larger.

    This is a great project for using up half-burned tea light candles. Alternatively you can use fresh wax.

    Remove the wicks from a couple of tea light candles and place to one side.

    Cut the remaining candles and wax into small chunks.

    Fill a shell with wax.

    Gently heat the wax with a heat gun until it begins to liquify.

    The wax will completely melt within a minute or so.

    Place the wick in the middle of the candle.

    Leave to cool so that the wax resets.

    They're ready to use and you can keep refilling them with old wax as they burn down.
