Description

Instructions

  1. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 140501 img 8677

Collect some shells from your local beach. I used oyster shells to make my candles a little larger.

  2. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 142315 img 8679

This is a great project for using up half-burned tea light candles. Alternatively you can use fresh wax.

  3. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 140518 img 8678

Remove the wicks from a couple of tea light candles and place to one side.

  4. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 142346 img 8681

Cut the remaining candles and wax into small chunks.

  5. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 142423 img 8685

    Fill a shell with wax.

  6. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 142433 img 8686

Gently heat the wax with a heat gun until it begins to liquify.

  7. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 142446 img 8691

The wax will completely melt within a minute or so.

  8. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 142453 img 8692

Place the wick in the middle of the candle.

  9. Small 115323 2f2016 11 02 142500 img 8693

Leave to cool so that the wax resets.

They're ready to use and you can keep refilling them with old wax as they burn down.
