just blowing in the wind, or... hit the nail on the head!
This water kettle was from my late hubby, still using him but i can't using him after my move.
I couldn't throw it away, so... i thought i must recyle him in a project.
In my new home to be i will have two big balconies and large glass sliding walls to go there sooo it's nice to hang before them a wind chime.
I saw on the blog of Jam some smart idea's of how you could make one,
(thank you Jam for sharing your recyling ideas!!!)
so my plan for using the kettle was only becoming more real then ever.LOL
I found some cheap cuterly in a shop that would be the sound makers, and was with some strenght to bend in shape.
And of my fave friend i had still a lot of paperclips as well.
thank you Sheila!!!!
so i thought i can use them well for this project. they are all covered up with plasitc layer so it can stand rain and moistery.;-D

You can make this as well , you can use other things on the kettle, i had the idea to use a lot of plastic fake gems but they were all wrapped allready so i had to change the plans.
time is included drying time.!!!!
i love kitschy things so i used a lot of glitter and things i had still not wrapped.
Hope you like it and wil be inspired to make such things your selfs
just be creative and crafty.

time is included drying time.!!!!

  • How to make chimes. Recyled Wind Kettle Chime - Step 2
    Step 2

Devide the bottom with lines to find the points for making the holes you need for the cuterly.
Like you must draw a cross in a circle and then do it again in the same. then it's easy to treak down the points.

    Step 9

Making the several hooks of the cuterly:
    1. Bend the stells of the spoons to the front like you

2, this is the only spoon that has a much smaller
hook then the rest, this will hang in the middle of
    the kettle like a clapper;-D
    3. i prefered to bend the steels of the fork
backwards, Because it's less hurtfull to hit the
    forks excidently.
