Prairie Chic Dress

Calico sundress with gathered rectangle skirt and criss-crossed straps
Modified Simplicity 1607. I replaced the original pattern's drop waist with a simple gathered rectangle skirt that attached directly to the bottom of the bodice, and I added storebought piping to the (already finished) edges of the straps and kind of understitched them into place. The hem is catch-stitched, and the side zipper is hand-picked.
