Patchwork scarf using cotton scraps and fleece
I made this scraf to use some of my fabric scraps and I like how it turned out =)
It's a nice and quick project and I think I'll make several of those as christmas gifts this year ^^

You Will Need

Step 1Gather your cotton fabrics and cut squares using a template made of paper.
My squares measure 14x14cm, including 1cm seam allowance - I've made 11 aquares, so the finished scarf will measure 12x132cm.

Step 2Sew the squares onto each other to make a long stripe (or scraf, that is ^^)

Step 3Press the seam allowances like in the picture (I'd be grateful if someone could tell me the right English phrase for this ^^)

Step 4Now it's time to fold the seam allowances and press them like you'd do if you made hems.

Step 5Pin the scarf to the fleece, make sure it's as even as possible.

Step 6Stitch the edges.

Step 7Cut the fleece, leaving a small border (~5mm) around the scarf.
Don't worry, fleece fabrics won't fray.And you're done!

Step 3: you missed one word it should read "Press the seam allowances open"

If anyone is lazy about it, you can get things call "Fat Squares" or "Fat Quarters" that are pre-cut squares of fabric sold at places like Joann's and Michel's stores
