  Step 1

  MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!!!!!!!!!

  Take your cleaning solvent and pour it into your small bowl. Put your paperclips in the bowl, making sure it is completely submerged underwater. Leave it for six hours, at least. I recommend you do it for around twelve to twenty-four hours. This is so you don't get an ear infection.

  Step 2

  Once you have sanitized it, start putting it in your ear. When you use colored paperclips, though, a lot of the time it can be much thicker than regular paperclips or earrings. If it is thicker, make sure you don't wear it to much, as it has a tendency to stretch out your ears. Also, if you pull it the right length up your ear(as shown in the picture), you do not really need a earring back. That's it!!

  Oh Wait!!
  I almost forgot. If you connect the paperclips, you can create a long chain look.

like your idea,!!! But you can use as well when you're allergic for metal nailpolish. i doing this strick for years now because i have this problem.
only sometimes you need to repeat the layer because of the use;-D

I used to make these all the time in school, when i forgot my regular earrings at home. People wanted me to always make them too. lol I cant believe stupid people actually bought them. o.O thats funny.

I do agree tho, that most stupid kids could get hurt from using them (even if they are 'steril'). Either bc the clip is too big, or the person could be allergic to the metal. They can become irritated more easily then earrings regardless. But its fun.

Actually, when I was getting my flu shot, I wore these paperclip earrings. The doctor asked me how I made them sterile and I told him I left it in cleaning solvent over night. He said that would make them as sterile as any other earring, because most earrings are as sterile as brand new paperclips, Pixii

...Cleaning solvent won't stop an infection if you stick something that dirty in your ear, especially if it's too large and you stretch the hole. You end up with micro-tears in your skin, and...oooh it just makes me shudder. >.< The only way to get something like that sterile is to autoclave it- no amount of boiling or alcohol or bleach is going to sterilize a paperclip.
