About
Candle holders I couldn't give away become sweet dip and nut bowls!
Seriously, I tried to give these beautiful candle holders away. But when no one took them and deep down I really liked them. So, I gave them a new life.
The bowls are smaller than the average cereal bowl so they are the perfect size to put in the middle of a chip platter with dip, or to just set on the table with nuts or treats. I picked them up at a thrift store for $1.00.
I also added some glass beads that I put in the center of the candle stick before I glued them. They make a very nice detail when they catch the light.
But don't stop there... any type of easy creation like this can hold hair ties, buttons, bathroom soaps, Margarita glasses (??) and so on and so on.
1) Get that wax out of that candle holder. Put any wax covered item in the freezer and the wax pops right off. Finish with a hot, hot soak. You "can" use the dishwasher but only for getting the final "film" off.
2) Dry and glue. I glued them upside down so the super glue would sink into the grooves of the bowl. Then I glued around the edges.
Simple. Fun. PRITTEE!
