    Step 1

    cut out your paper pattern
    I drew this one out myself but you can use patterns online

    cut out your fabric pieces
    I used to layers of a bamboo cotton blend
    a fabric print for the top
    and black fleece for the bottom because it's water resistant

    place your padding on your upside down top fabric

    Step 4

    sew a line straight down the padding to keep it in place

    sew around the padding

    Step 6

    sandwich the padding between your fabric print and fleece and sew around the whole thing

    sew a line down the wings to help them fold better

    I did a zig-zag stich twice around

    add your buttons or clasps to the wings

And they come out completely clean when you wash them?! :O I might just have to try this.

yes you just have to make sure to wash them with cold water to the stains don't set
