You Will Need

Step 1To make the rose, roll out a small ball of clay to about a radius of 1/4″. Roll the ball into a cone shape measuring approximately 1/2″.

Step 2Flatten the tip of the cone and roll to create the center of the rose.

Step 3Roll out two more small balls with a radius of 1/4″. Flatten one half of the ball to create a single petal as shown above.

Step 4Attach the petal to the center of the rose. Flatten the remaining ball and wrap it around the center, overlapping the first petal. Slightly bend back the edges of the petals.

Step 5Continue making petals in this fashion until the rose is as big as you want it.

Step 6When you have finished adding petals to your rose, pinch the bottom of the rose making sure all the petals are firmly attached. Cut off the excess clay leaving a flat bottom on the rose.

Step 7I wanted my roses to have a glossy shine, so I used some Glu6 Original and a small paintbrush to coat each of the roses. Let them dry.

Step 8Arrange your roses in the pattern you want to glue them onto your headband.

Step 9Apply some Glu6 Craft Paste to the bottom of the rose and attach to the headband. Let the headband dry thoroughly in an upright position.
