Bat wings

Today I'm going to show you how to make bat wings with two hangers and black knee highs and some ridden and glitter, I know it look alot to do but its a day project. lots of drying time. but very easy to make, then you be ready for take off.

    First go dig in your closet for two same size wird hangers. and then go to your drawers and get old pair of black knee high. if you don't have a pair of knee high just get leotards that work. Or just go to the store and buy some just for 25c. don't forget to dig in your tool box and get wird cutters and electric tape

    I'm using to baby hangers perfect for the little ones. Start bending hangers into a oval shape like this

    Take the two shapely hanger and match them up and tape the ends. belive me this well save you time and a head ache. this way wings will match the same like image. start shaping wings into any butterfly or pixie wing or bats. I find that butterfly wings are the easiest to make.

    then uncute tape and then see how it going to look like. don't cute the hook yet you going to need them for hanging.

    unless you have black hangers. I don't! I spray paint my wings. one pair I painted by hand. but like to spray Save time and dry faster. now you use the hooks to hang dry. having fun yet!

    Now that the paint is dry. get your knee highs and scissors and (elec)tape, and pull knee high over the wing firming not to tight.

    Then tape the ends and cut off the left over knee high.

    When you are done should look like this

    I like to spray this glue glitter all over wing. you can get it from micheal's. it come in a spray bottle. I forgot name. I do this so I can give it sparkle. You don't have to do this. just skip this step

    Next step get out your paints and glitters or glue. there so many way to design your design. I like to paint on glue and sprinakle glitter. there I'm paint on veins with glue and glitter.

    When you are done let the glitter or paint dry. maybe hour two hours. I like to hang my in front of a fan lol. hey it works

    get out your wirer cutter and cut off the hook. you want to do this away for eyes, so go outside and cut. belive me hooks will fly. nothing borading here

    When you are done cuting. hold your wings togather and start taping around the two end togather. around and around you go untill all wire is not showing anymore. make it safe to wear.

    now it look like wings but you are not done yet. Get out your glue gun and sticks and didn't forget the ribbons. take your ribbon out, start to glue one end on the wings middle pice and like the tape start going around and around glueing little here and there until you can't see tape anymore.

    ok take alittle hotglue and glue a end of riddon onto the wird part of wing just to hold it in place. one on top of wing and one botton of wing on both wings make sure riddons or extra long so you can tied it on later.

    I hate to sew but it works. I don't know if you can get away with hotgluing the riddons on. I think over time they just come off. so take time to sew on ridden I just go into wing and over wirer into wing over wirer, do this about six time with four ribbon. don't worry about it being messy it will not show. then it ready to were. for a boy you want to stop. some boys don't like ribbon and flowers on wings,

    you can tied or glue riddons on the middle of wings. I like to glue so they stay put. don't make them to long you be sitting on them and pulling your wings down.

    this is the last step of wings. this is what I call a centerpiece for back of wings. I use only flowers before or tulle I use on this one. I have leftover flower and glue that on. the hole were burn in by accident because I like to singe the ends of my riddons so they don't thread. this wings were not going to have hole. I don't see holes in bats wings. now they gothic wings. I was going for bat wings. so be carful with lighters. it will make holes in sockings. but now you are done. put these babys on your kid and watch them smile with evy. and dance around like little fairys

Thank you thank you!!! I made the fairy wings from Threadbanger years ago and after lots of moving around and putting them in storage, they just got fixed too many times and just fell apart beyond repair. I had no desire to make new ones after that till i saw the bat wings!!! yay I cant wait!

I've been wanting to make bat wings ever since I saw the threadbanger episode on fairy wings.
