About
I am a mom and MeeMaw who loves to craft. I love my glitter and skulls together. I am also extremely frugal.
I used to paper mache' Dia de Los Muertos/Day of the Dead paper mache' and clay figures and dioramas. Along with Primitive Halloween and traditional tattoo inspired folk art, bottle cap jewelry, plush dolls and milagro/bottle cap decorated wooden crosses. I learned about cultural appropriation in a class and was shocked that, that was exactly what I was doing. I apologize for my ignorance and no longer make these items for sale. I still love Dia de Los Muertos/Day of the Dead and what it represents. It is an incredibly touching holiday filled with a deep respect for the family and the culture.
I am a geek and lover of most fandoms. I am an avid reader and usually have multiple books going at once. I just started playing DnD and am hooked. Look for some DnD inspired craft tutorials coming soon.
I also cosplay and create many costumes a year for both myself, family and friends using as many items as I can from thrift stores or yard sales.
I also love the Rockabilly/Psychobilly/Pinup style and try to refashion or create jewelry and clothing in this style.
I have since tried to find ways to craft and save money. I have an obsession with thrifting and yard sales, especially for vintage items.
I have recently started looking into frugal but also environment-friendly practices for my home. I hope to have some tutorials for those soon.
