This is similar to my other adding a disc to a post at a set size
As I said in the previous project, I was asked for some advice on soldering a earring post to a very small disc, with some precise measurements. So I provided these intructions and the other project instructions to the customer.

Step 1Purchase wire and tube to customers specifications. Make sure the inside diameter of the tube is the same as the diametre of the wire.

Step 2Slide the tube onto the end of the wire.

Step 3It is best to saw the tube at the required legnth, but if you only have snips, they will work too. If using snips cut a little extra.

Step 4Solder the tube to the wire with hard solder.

Step 5File the end flat.

Step 6Measure and mark the wire to the required legnth.

Step 7Snip or cut to legnth, again cut a little extra if cutting with snips.

Step 8File the end flat

Step 9Round and smooth so it is comfortable for someone to put in their ear.

Step 10File in a groove near the end of the wire.

Step 11All finished, and happy customer.

Step 12Remember to write up your notes for your technical file.
