As I said in the previous project, I was asked for some advice on soldering a earring post to a very small disc, with some precise measurements. So I provided these intructions and the other project instructions to the customer.

Purchase wire and tube to customers specifications. Make sure the inside diameter of the tube is the same as the diametre of the wire.
Slide the tube onto the end of the wire.
It is best to saw the tube at the required legnth, but if you only have snips, they will work too. If using snips cut a little extra.
Solder the tube to the wire with hard solder.
File the end flat.
Measure and mark the wire to the required legnth.
Snip or cut to legnth, again cut a little extra if cutting with snips.
File the end flat
Round and smooth so it is comfortable for someone to put in their ear.
File in a groove near the end of the wire.
All finished, and happy customer.
