Is there somebody as keen on jewelry as me?
I'd like to host a jewelry swap;here are some simple rules:

SIGN UP FOR THE SWAP IN THIS THREAD
Please make sure to provide info about your location and whether you want to ship internationally!
Try to send DIY'ed items ONLY! That's kind of the point of the whole thing ;)

when we were talking about jewelery swap suggestions, we all kind of wanted to make it anonymous. would you be interested in doing that? maybe you could send us all private messages of who our partner is, so when we send the parcels we put a letter or something in it that it was by us. so that way we know who sent it to us but still had the element of surprise! I don't mind either way. I just wanna swap some jewelery! Happy

Also, could you maybe extend the send-out date? Just so we have at least a week to make everything and if partners want to send earlier they can.

Scharminkeltje - What Sally is saying is that we had been talking about doing a Jewelry Swap where the host (thats you) would collect address from everyone when sign up has ended. Then send back out one address to each of us, but we dont tell who were sending to. SO heres and example
Sally, Elaine, Pammerz Sign Up. We each send our address to You. Then You partner us up. Like this
Pammers sends to Sally
Sally sends to You
You sends to Elaine
Elaine sends to Pammerz
So then we all make our jewelry and send out. Then whe each of us recives our package we will know who sent it!

a couple of questions before i decide whether to sign up or not:
1. does it matter what the jewellery is made out of? because mine wouldnt be wire or stones/gems because i dont have any or the skill to make them
2. are there any restrictions on the type of jewellery? for example i wear earrings but dont like dangly ones and my ears are sensitive to non-gold metals
3. if making a bracelet how would the sender make sure the size is right for the wearer? same for rings if they arent adjustable ones.
i think i'm limited to making bracelets and possibly necklaces, not sure if a partner of mine would want 5 necklaces/bracelets.

Nikki: I think we should stick to 'one size fits all' stuff. As far as materials/techniques are concerned,try your best with skills you have Happy you don't really have to perform wonders with wire and pliers! It's about fun and sharing,not showing off :*
If you get something you don't like you can always pass it on during next swap!
