Swapping?

Hi, I'm new to the forums on here, and ive come across something called Swapping, what is it exactly? x

Hi there Grace. Swapping is basically sending to someone else something you made, and receiving from that person something she made.

This is a very general description, but usually every swap has a theme, like the stationery swap (where you make and swap stationery), the kawaii swap (where you make and swap something kawaii), the plushie swap... and so on and so forth.

As a general rule, you need to first join and complete the Newbie vs Vet swap and then you can take part into more complex swaps.

It's really just the pleasure of making something the other person will enjoy and receiving something done especially for you from that other person.

To add to Mary's wonderful description, there are also certain swaps that do allow newbies to join without completing the Newbie vs. Vet Swap first. The Postcard Swap is ongoing and allows newbies. The Home Vacation Swap is also taking newbies. =)
