Swaps on CO+K

I just completed my first swap (the xmas swap). I thought that it sounded like such a sweet idea and I really wanted to give it a go. I really enjoyed making the gifts and decorations, communicated with my partner about sending it a couple of days later than planned, sent it off in the post two weeks ago and...well my bf was right...he foresaw that I would receive nothing in return and now I feel like an idiot. I can see others posting pictures of their lovely items that they have received and think maybe I was just unlucky this once...I don't even know if my parcel got there safely as, despite me enquiring about this I have had no answer. I think that some kind of system where the progress of swaps can be documented and users having a percent positivity rating similar to that on Ebay may be a good idea. I've signed up to one more swap and if I am let down again I will leave it at that.
