@Vi- That's great!!! There is a ton of fairs around this time of year and each one has the pumpkin contest, the biggest ones go to the "BIG E"- it's the Eastern States Exposition where all of the new england states go and show off the great things for their state!!! It's pretty cool, we try to go every year!

Woohoo! I'm so all about this swap...And Laurel, hush, you aren't that old. Course your exact age is still a mystery to me, but I'm pretty sure you're younger than my Baby Boomer parents(dad's about to turn 67...ON HALLOWEEN). Either way, whatever, who cares? You are one of my favorite people in the whole world.
Speaking of...I was laughing over Jeanette's early decorating, and Melissa making fun of me for making Sofi's costume already, and thought, how fun would it be for all of us(I mean ALL) to have a slumber party/crafting party on a cruise ship? Imagine, it comes around and picks us all up from the nearest ports(so we don't all have to pay out the butt to go to a specific place), and we all get to get to know each other in real life, and goof off, and tease each other. I'm a little sad now, since that's never gonna happen...but it'd be cool!

Oooooh I love all the pumpkin pictures. I am always tempted to buy one of those super giant pumpkins, but I never do, but maybe some day. I bet they have giant pumpkin seeds in them. Yum. Now I want some pumpkin seeds.

Laurel, age is only a number, you are only old if you think you are. I like to think once you turn 29 every birthday after that is just another year to celebrate turning 29 again ;)

I'm off into town tomorrow so I'll be hitting up the fabric shop to see what spooky goodies they have for me yay.
A big old crafting party would be awesome and for some reason I think noisy;)

Hehe all the talk about age makes me feel like im a baby craft swapper.

And Sparrowfae, your daughter isnt the only one with an already made halloween costume. Im in the prosses of making mine as well, hoping to be done by the start of october.

Speaking of which, who else is planning on dressing up for halloween?

Me! Me! Me! haha. Not sure as what yet, but I'm going to get some Liquid Latex soon and start playing around. In the weeks before Halloween I like to make fake cuts, scars, gashes, etc. on various parts of my body (arms,face,legs,neck) and go to the grocery store or out to eat or where ever and observe peoples reactions.

I'm in the process of making my daughter a zombie queen costume. I went to the thrift store and bought a prom dress for really cheap. I now have to re-size it and take out a side and insert black material were I'm going to put some bones. I also bought some material that looks like it all bloody to add to it.

I always dress up every year, usually as a witch. But, this year if I can pull it off, I want to dress up as Betty Rubble and have my hubby dress as Barney Rubble. We will just have to see if I have enough time to pull it off.

These costumes all sound awesome! I wish I could get a ka-ton of liquid latex and dress up like an Avatar. =) But I doubt it's legal to run around naked painted blue. Hahaha. It might be nice to be a zombie this year - I haven't gone all out with that since I was a kid! On the other hand, I say every year that I'm going to dress up like a Sailor Scout, so maybe this is the year I can actually get it done! ^.^

@ Gypsie Moon- there's nothing illegal about it, what did Rebeca Roman do in Xmen???

Melissa, it's interesting. A few years ago I went out with fake bruises on my face and my poor husband got so many dirty looks, haha. needless to say, I didn't do the bruises again.

@ Melissa - good point, well made. Though I figured that would be frowned upon in real life... unless of course, I go to fantasy fest in Florida next month. I bet there's tons of latexed people there! haha!!

@ Angel Eve - how old are you? I'm 21, so we might be in competition for the position of baby swapper. Tee Hee.

@ Sparrow - that would be uber fun - I've always said there needs to be some kind of international crafting convention we could all flock to and meet up! =) Course, a lot of us are really spread out, so if there are any travellers in the group, we could just go country hopping and meet everyone! ^.^

@ Spooky - that does sound like fun, minus the bit where your hubby got all those dirty looks.... but it was Halloween, wasn't it?? Heh.

@ Jeanette - you have inspired me to get everything clean and start decorating as well! Can't wait to see all your pictures! =D
