New Age Swap <Closed> Partners Posted!! ^.^
This idea came to me after having my first ever crystal reading/healing done in the UK. I've always loved New Age things, and I know we have plenty of people here with all different religions and very open minds! This swap could be anything from unicorns, faeries, mermaids, crystals, tarot, runes, wands, altar pieces, crystals, meditation tips and tricks, eygyptian, massage - anything holistic and new age! There isn't a set date for this yet, I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested! So, any takers? =)

Okay now here's a question for everyone! Do we have anyone here who is successful at meditation? Whenever I try to do it, I fall asleep!! At least we can say I'm certainly deeply relaxed, but seriously - what's the trick? Help!! ^.^
I use to meditate back in the day...i used innence or scented candles so I concentrate on my breathing with the scent till i reached a relaxing stage...then i would just concentrate on a thought, emotion, ect and did pretty good without sleeping...i would only meditate 20 mins at time....*sigh* i miss those days. lol
20 mins is only cause that is when my innsence stick/cone would run out and I wouldnt smell it anymore and I would come out of meditation that way.
i try youtube. its the best place to learn things theres so many different people with different vids of ways for it.
That's a really awesome idea Sug - I'll have to try that!! I think my biggest problem is that I don't breathe properly, and then when i finally do, i get so relaxed that i just conk out and wake up in the morning! tee hee!
If I use meditation tapes I find I always fall asleep, If i'm in complete silence I'm fine!

I meditate and have done off and on for about 10 years. Start small, like 5 or 10 mins and work up gradually. Also guided meditations on CD can be helpful, I use them a lot. Also try having something to focus on, I have a really nice guided meditation thats about half and hour and starts of gazing at a candle and concentrating on the flame. As you breath in you are meant to imagine you are breathing in the light and energy. Also you might find a class near you that does meditation - they can sometimes be good. If you can't find a class look for yoga classes and ask if there's a meditation element to it, there often is. Good luck
