Rocky Horror Picture Show
I was just given an insane amount of crafting supplies by a very nice lady and I wanted to make her a few thank you things, well, her son said that she LOVES RHPS and I was going to try to make something, but I have no idea... I watched it a few times in my younger years and haven't seen it in a while.. any ideas? or suggestions? thanks so much
Hey! I'm only 14 and RHPS is one of my favorite movies! Hm...What kind of supplies did you get and how old is that lady? Maybe faux pearl necklace with little red lips pendant? Or some kind of glittery bow inspired by Columbia? Or make a gift box with RHPS collage or... My brain is temporary not available. Please, try alter. Wish you luck! xoxo, Zombie Darling
lol Thanks so much. I like the faux pearl necklace idea as i make jewelry and pendants with the lips i hope you dont mind me using your idea. but you have been a huge help thanks so much hope you have a great evening.
Well if you have never seen RHPS then I suggest maybe watching the film and see what hits you, since you know what your strengths are, or something might strike out at you.
I've never watched it but I want to. All I know is, the guy that wrote it (I can't remember what character he was in it) was the 2nd guy that hosted "The Crystal Maze". As cheesey as that show was, I kind of liked it and he was better then the first presenter with hair (don't ask me why!!).
Oh my ....
Go find it sit yourself down and just enjoy one of my fav movies ever.
Think theatre...transvestites,fish net tights, Transylvanians (spacepeeps silver hair with lightning flashes),Theatre greens, motorbikes( Meatloaf as Eddie),high heels, lots of flesh and baby oil.
Round it up with the Timewrap (ATC's with foot prints would work for this)
We also have a copy of this on CD and it makes for the best road trip soundtrack.Have listened to it racing to the Mull ferry from Oban Scotland and stuck in traffic on the I-90 bridges going into Seattle.
BTW the guy that wrote his character is Riff-Raff Richard O'Brien. But for me Tim Curry is just awesome Dr Frank-n-Furter.He still sees a chiropractor for his back after wearing those high heels !

I looked up the pearl necklace and realized that I had some nice large Glass Pearls to make the necklace. I left off the Pendant so that she could wear it with more. And decided to give her one of my Bride of Frankenstein Felt Dolls,a Clay Calavera Skull, and A handmade Thank you card. In the Spirit of the Holiday. However I will have to sit down soon and watch RHPS again. Thank you again for the help. Be Well.
Ooooh Rocky Horror Picture show is awesome! When I was down in Florida we went to the Hard Rock Cafe and I had to get a picture of the golden undies they had on display from the movie. In fact here is that picture:
You could try to make them, that would be pretty funny. But to get some other craft ideas you can also go here:

Also, if you go to this site and scroll close to the bottom there is a Dr. Frank-n-Furter rag doll you could try.

watch it again, you have to. Make a tshirt with do the time warp again
I haven't learned anything about making tee-shirts YET! and this is an older lady whom I have never met before so I don't really know if golden undies would be ... too strange. haha. I went to school with her son and happened to mention needed supplies and he told her and she has TONS she just offered to give me. Thanks for the links and ideas but I only have until tonight or Saturday before her son leaves for 3 months so I suppose maybe I'll just give her the package I've made and maybe try to make her something else with the supplies she gave me for when her son returns. I really like the rag doll and want to try making it for her though. Thanks again. Time to walk the kids to the bus. Take Care.
I LOVE THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW!
I've been to many actual shows, where people act it out on stage and the audience interacts. So thats the perfect gift!! A bag with all the supplies to interact with the movie!
Just fill a brown (or decorated) bag with (a few of these things) rice, toilet paper, toy water gun, noise maker, newspaper, laytex Gloves, party hat. I'm sure shell know what to do with them. lol
You could also take a scrap piece of fabric and paint a phrase or design from the movie on it, to make a patch. I've made a few rocky horror patches. "Dont dream it, Be it!"
All wonderful ideas DarkAsh, Thank you so much. Hope you are having a nice weekend.
