Upcycle/recycle class for kids

This summer I'm going to be teaching a recycle/upcycle class at ACA art camp. I'm also teaching a fiber arts class which i had no trouble filling out my lesson plan for, but im stalling out on the upcycle class. The projects need to be appropriate for ages 7-11 and unisex to an extent. I'm going to do my coke bottle flowers and make them yard stakes, and also make sock puppets. I need two more projects. any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

Maybe some key chains from bottle caps?and recycled magazine necklaces or bowls.I made paper beads once in camp with the kids and they enjoyed it soo much. They could make a necklace from it for there moms.
Or you could use jar lids and make animal faces from them by painting them and adding paper and yarn scraps for hair and ears.Make a fridge magnet from them.
I hope I could help.

I teach crafts to the same age's. We've made milk carton wallets, can tabs bracelet's/key chains, flowers from egg cartons, kites from paper bags, and paper mache is always fun.
