Sendable presents

I'm at uni now and don't have a lot of money, but want to be able to send out presents to my friends back at home and at other universities. I want to make something but it needs to be small so it isn't expensive to send, and not expensive to make, but either something which everyone would like or I could personalise.

Any ideas would be great!

Mamatwitch's idea is a good one, also if you have clothing or jewellry or whatever then you could customise it and send that to friends...
I'm assuming your specialityis knittin? Hats would be good, gloves, scarves for the winter season?

For your girl mates this could be good

That's not a bad idea, but I'm actually not great at knitting =P my name is deceptive!

What I've got coming up to send:
A farewell card for my boss who's retiring and selling the shop
My friend Anna's birthday
My brother's birthday
A happy gram
My ex-boyfriend's mum is celebrating 25 years as organist at her church
My friend Graham's birthday.

Along with Valentine's day stuff!

Hahahaha aaww... secrets and lies!! lol just kidding.

Well for all of them maybe you could make a nice customised hand made card?

Is your boss a man or woman? If your boss is a man you could make or customise a nice tie? If your boss is a women then how about a silk scarf or a necklace?
Well for your ex bf's mum something organist or piano related, maybe a piano bag or necklace? with 25 on it?

I'm not very good at coming up with stuff like this...

Haha that's alright, it's my fault for not being imaginative enough =P

My boss is a woman. I can't really get her jewellery, she's ridiculously rich and wears all like pearls and diamonds and stuff. I don't have enough money for the stuff she'd like. I might just make her an embroidered card, if I can find a good image to go on the front (quick, to Urban Threads!)

I'm gonna do an embroidered card for Kathy, but I want to put a little music-related present inside - just like a silly little thing. I might go check out the music shops in town.

As for my brother...god knows, he's a mystery.

And mamatwitch, that sounds easy, I have made wrist warmers as presents before, just trying to think if any of those people would want them. Maybe Graham. Umm I can embroider and sew - but only hand-sew, I don't have a machine - I can knit a bit, make jewellery, stencil, customise clothes, bake...hmm that sounds a bit dull. I was thinking of making rocky road for some people, as Andy wants some for Valentine's Day (so selfish, making me make him something I can't eat!) but I'm not sure how well it'll send.

I like the idea of a little embroidered pillow or something...

I've just made some embroidered buttons (just with the Rammstein logo) and now I'm thinking I could send some with little treble clefs on to Kathy. I don't know what she'd do with them but it'd be kinda cute.
