Anyone make their own lampwork beads?

Making lampwork beads look like so much fun. I'd love to make some of my own. Problem is I have no idea where to get most of the materials, or what they are for that matter. Happy

I know where to get a tabletop torch, but I dunno where to get those glass rods, steel tools that work with making the beads, ect. I only buy from stores or eBay.

If there is anyone experienced with making lampwork beads I'd love to hear any advice, the list of things I'll need, ect. Currently I'm watching people online making lampwork beads. Tongue

There is one guy in a town (a small town) where I live and he teaches it here. There has been two classes, that sadly I already had booked with previous plans-buut, I talked to him and he has said that you can EASILY self teach yourself. I've checked out plenty of videos on youtube that go into pretty good detail. The torch I think you can get at Menards? And the rods on Ebay I believe. I haven't had much time to think about lampworking but I think I may tackle it this summer. If you can't find anything at those two ports, I would try to google lampworking-and shift through the sites-choose your preference-and order. I found that lampworking-supply.com is super neat-check dickblick.com too. Let me know how it goes if you start!
