Resizing photos for uploading

For those people who upload photos and have a couple of troubles with the file size there is a freeware program online called pixresizer.

Really easy to use.

I use Photoshop myself but have suggested this to others who don't have it that tend to try uploading a photo straight from their cameras.

Good to know, but you can also resize photos in paint as well, which everyone should already have if they are running windows. Don't know much about Mac though.
With pic opened in paint, click edit and choose "select all", which should put a broken line around it, then click image and choose "resize/skew". When you enter a # lower than 100% which is already showing in horizontal and vertical fields, it will then shrink it, but make sure that both fields are the same percentage or it will distort it. I usually use 25%. You don't have to do anything with "skew". Click outside the field of the original size that will be a blank space, place curser at lower right edge of that area on the blue dot and move the curser in to edges of the resized pic. Save and viola!!

NOTE: This only works with shrinking the size of a pic. It will become blurry if you try making one bigger.

Hehe Yeah paint works too, the advantage of this little program is you can do batches making things much quicker if you have a few to do Happy
