Craft shows/fairs

I just went to my first craft show, and it was a disasster, I didn't sell anything. So, I came home and started doing research on how I can do better next time.
One common thing most articles had was that I need a show stopping product to get the "browsers" attention so that they come over to my booth. However, I've been racking my brain all day and I can't think of anything.

I sell handbags, wallets, and other accessories just so you know what categories I'm thinking in.

Please, give me some suggestions on what to make for this item because I am at a loss.

Thanks in advance Happy

Make your table/stall bright so it's eye catching. Make posters and such with your business name, what you're selling, specials, etc on them but keep them short and sweet; people don't like having loads to read. My signs read:
"Little Treasures
Handmade jewellery with love"

"I make custom items to order"

and

"Stud earrings only R5 a pair!"

People love seeing special prices.

As far as the table is concerned, space your items so you can easily see them. If it's all in a pile and people can't see the designs clearly, they won't really notice them.

Keep your table in line with your colour scheme. My logo is pink, red and white so my tablecloth and all my jewellery stands are those colours.

How did you items compare to others that seemed to sell well? Perhaps your items were not popular because you were at the wrong type of sale. I go to anime conventions to sell things (well, I've just started) and I'm slowly learning what will sell there and for what price.

Sometimes you'll have bad sales. It happens. I attended an open house at my friends' jewelry gallery and only walked off with about $90 from my soaps... BUT NOW there are lots of people who came that want my soaps so they invited me back. I'm also going to offer different things this time, like winter hats and accessories so I have big ticket items.

Also, when you make deals (like buy 2 of something and get one free, or reduced prices when you buy more than 1 thing) people will be more likely to stop by.
