Pictures Posting Sideways

Is anyone having problems with they're pictures posting sideways? I have flipped my photos every which way on my computer. Somehow, though, they always post sideways. I have uploaded pictures many times. I have been using some photos that I am not so satisfied with just so they will post right ways. Any Suggestions???

I know that happens to me all the time , always!! I use my iPad to do it...and ith a little ingenuity i took the photo sideways but then the picture came ll upside own !! I don't get it!!

Whichever way your photo is facing when you shoot it, it will face that way when you upload it, even if you rotate it on your computer.
If you're on a Mac computer, hold "command," "shift," and "4" at the same time, and a little target-like mouse will appear. You can drag this from one corner of your rotated image to the opposite (a shaded rectangle will show you what you've highlighted so far), and it will take a snapshot of that picture and send it to your desktop. You can then take the snapshots of all your photos and use them in your projects, as these will not appear sideways. If you're on a PC or don't feel like going through the process of this, just take your pictures without turning your camera when you shoot. Hope this fixed your problem!

New Discovery! I recently got a new computer, which is when this all started happening. It has Windows 8 on it. I found that Windows 8 has an Auto-Orient type thing on it. I plug in my SD card and everything is already right ways. no matter how I took the picture. I don't have to fix anything. BUT I plug the SD card into my old computer which uses Vista, I have to go through and flip all the pictures myself. They are not auto fixed like they are on windows 8. On my old computer they upload correctly. New computer not so much. Hmmmm.
