Adverts

Is anyone else getting that really annoying hair advert pop up when they refresh the page for the boards? It's hovering over crafterella at the top of the page. It's also there on the projects page...

Another thing I've noticed too is that adverts are appearing between how-to steps. I thought they only appeared when you weren't logged in? I am logged in btw when I see this...

Yup I've got it too! Like an odd flashing post it note..

It' a bit annoying I must say.. Not seen any issues with ads whilst being logged in though!

I use firefox so ads aren't an issue for me. But if I click on links from emails(I use IE for emails) I see a giant annoying ad every single time I go to a new page that takes up the whole screen that I have to X out of.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. I love this site and without its funding from adverts it might not be here but when they make it soo annoying that you would never dream of buying that product because it wound you up so much in the first place, I can't see it doing it's job properly...

Like someone else said in the other thread in the rant section.. Maybe try and get more ads down the sides of the boards.. No flashy annoying crap though Happy otherwise there is no point!

I can see that it has gone now, and noticed that Tom left a message in the other thread. I do apologise for making another thread on it but I didn't see that one before I made this one.. Make sence? Happy

I just saw the new ad's, it freaked me out a little, till I scrolled down a bit. I just thought you might want some feedback, I think these ad's are MUCH better then before, they don't attack your screen and use up space well...

I hate pop ups and use a ad destroyer thingy..lol.
