monthly debate?

in my art class we do a monthly debate on art and i thought it would be awesome if we did that! like for one debate we could do the diamond covered skull and soo on! i think it would be fun if it was part of snippets of something! just an idea but would you like it?

I like the idea! are we going to debate about projects? that seems a bit over-critical and could hurt people's feelings, how about a crafty topic?

examples: defenition of a craft...do you only consider "real" crafts such as knitting or sewing to be truly honorable...or is anything made with love a craft?

the craft revolution of the internet (come on it's going on right before your eyes!)

i think debating about projects is a good idea. critics help you get better in things. the way this place is now, is awesome-but it only shows the good side. since there are lots of people with depression and such on it, i understand that.
how about making a topic, where we discuss a project that the maker has posted?
for example. i post a link to my brownie project. you guys criticize it. we have a little debate. then a new person posts a link. and it repeats itself.
this way, all those that do not want the debate bit, because it can hurt them, are left out. and those that do want to debate (i love debating =P), can do so.
good idea? or not at all? debate!
