Now this is a little naughty what i'm going to suggest... :/ We downloaded a rosetta stone learning program for our pc from the piratebay. I can totally recommend Rosetta Stone (it doesn't actually give you the translations, it shows you pictures and scenarios. A lot easier than trying to remember words from a boook) but the price was WAY over what i'd be willing to spend on something like that (like £150 for level 1!) And i just lookedand they do it in japanese.

Nikki, i've been the same with passwords on sites! We changed our browser because mozilla kept crashing and now i don't know the passwords to anything! :/

ooohilike this post!! How old are your step-daughter's family?? i've seen something in a magazine where you get an old jar (obv cleaned out!) and fill with sweets/biscuits then make a cute paper doily top for it like on jam jars, it's a lot better than it sounds! and i can't find a picture on the net.....looks like i'll have to make one soo to show you!!

i recently read the millenium triligy by Henreik Larsson, was brilliant! currently reading the suspicion of Mr Whicher, which is also really good!! Could also recommend a few books that are by C.J Samson!

I think it's having kids and realising how much needs to be done/bought etc that makes people start thinking about xmas early!! Also if you're gonna be making gifts for anyone then you need to give yourself enough time to make them all!!

I've already made a couple of christmas gifts for my sister and mum!!

Children at that age should be sleeping 12+ hours in total (including naps)per day! (my daughter also never slept this much though Happy so i understand your frustration there!)
I know your mother in law has been good to you letting you move in with them, but i'm sure she must've realised-asyou said-that babies cry!! My daughter is 3 and still wakes up crying in the night most nights-this is a normal thing!! I think you need to explain that while a lot of people can manage to get their children in to a routine, not all children are the same and there are bound to be some late nights/early mornings (as most people would expect!!).
I think you should tell her you are trying your best and shouldn't be there too much longer, and to make the most of having her grandaughter there-she'll miss her when she's gone!
