Random Album

I was in Avalanche today and Looking at the Neutral milk hotel/Olivi tremor control section and inbetween them was this band called A Hawk and A Hacksaw and for no real reason I decided to buy their album. Never heard a note of them before of even knew what style it was.

Turns out its people from New Mexico doing eastern european folk music - its rather wonderful.

Anyone else just randomly bought an album for the chance to hear something totally leftfield

I remember I bought a couple of CD's from the 2nd hand store. They had no covers and out of the 5 I bought 2 didn't work 2 consisted of really horrible music but 1 had some really cool stuff on it...such I shame I have no idea who it's by.

i bought a madina lake cd for the cover art. i heard that they were good, just never heard any of their material and the case was cool! haha i love the cd. heres a song....

I think they're a local band, they're this radio dj's favourite band he refers to emo as emu and foo fighters as foo fidgeters. Not my cup of tea though. I don't buy many cds anymore but i don't have much money anymore so lol
