*screams* IS MY MOUTH REALLY THAT MESSED UP?!?!?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED A HEADGEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *SCREAMS* AND BRACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *SCREAMS* AND THIS THING THAT WIDENS MY TOP JAW THAT SOUNDS LIKE A MIDEVIL(not sure how to spell that) TORTURE DEVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I HAVE A HUGE OVER BITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*breathes really hard* ok... how should I react to this?

Lol. Well if you were told this from an orthodontist or dentist, then its probably not all that bad.

they tend to find ALL THE PROBLEMS and then focus on them and it makes them seem WAY worse.

I had braces, and now when I think back, I always remember I had HORRID DISGUSTING teeth... but really.. just one of my teeth was slightly tilted and it was barely noticable.

Orthodontists are just really scary! lol

I had braces and head gear, my sister had the midevil torture device. No way around it babydoll, it sucks. But you will have super nice teeth later, and that is a really good thing.

I had headgear. Luckily I didn't have to wear it to school, we calculated out the hours and I put it on when I got home from school, and slept in it, and that was enough. It's not horrible- kind of uncomfortable but not painful to your mouth.

For some reason dentists here are not the spawn of the devil and don't make you wear those head things! I had braces, two years and now one of my front teeth has moved slightly forward because my wisdom teeth came through, POINTLESS. I can barely remember what it was like having a brace it wasn't that bad. My bottom set really could have done with a brace too actually. I live up to that stereotype, that the British have awful teeth.

Has anyone else been asked if you smoke, drink coffee or tea with sugar in and what medication you're on at the dentist?

my best friend had the head gear, but that cause she had one nasty accdient when she was younger that moved all her teeth straight back. I on the other hand, was suppose to get braces, and after hearing that i would have to have a year with a jaw strecher, and three with braces, and still need work, i told my dentits to fuck the hell off and my teeth are fine the way they are ^^. If i find i ever get famous and rich, i'll fix them with those three week recovery teeth sugerys, and get the pain done with right quick.

The Head gear killed me teeth. If my teeth touched each other I would wake up in serious pain. I would wake up sometimes and it would be in peices all over my bed. I'm surprised it even fixed my teeth at all! LOL. And braces aren't so bad, they only hurt the day after they get tightened. Its all worth it too me, I have nice straight teeth now. (=

anyway I would so have surgery to sort my teeth out, white and all straight Happy I'm worried about receeding gums!

I know it seems worse than it is... Dentists and orthodontists scare me... My first trip to the dentist (I was 10) I had to get 2 teeth pulled. My mouth wouldn't go numb. They gave me twice the amount adults needed, it wouldn't go numb. They couldn't give me anymore shots, so I had to get my teeth pulled without being numb. I was screaming my head off. Screaming, crying, and making a scene... Great first dentist appointment >.< I was really scared when I got a filling soon after that, but it went numb that time. I recently got another filling. The dentist said I was gonna need braces. I thought "I always knew I needed braces its not so bad." My dentist sent me to the orthodontist... Not so bad? ITS HORRIBLE!!!! But I guess I was over reacting. I guess it was because of my first dentist appointment.... I'm still pretty (I'm not just saying that) so its all good.
