New Football Stadium!! AGAIN!!

I agree with this I think. Although I'm not entirely sure what's going on.

I live in Swindon and yes it's horrible, but we have a thing called 'Swindon's Front Garden' which is also horrible. It's like a big stretch of green inbetween Swindon and the M4, and a few years ago some big men got some big ideas to build all over it. There were protests and all that and then when some rare newts were found there it was all YOU CAN'T BUILD THERE but that was overruled.

Anyway, one of the main reasons they wanted to build on it was so we could have a football stadium. WE ALREADY HAVE A FOOTBALL STADIUM. it's called the Country Ground and it's central to Swindon, why would we want another one that's nowhere near the center so visitors take ages to find it?

There are other interests, like crafting. I don't see them building a crafting stadium. Or even like a half way decent music venue, which is something most people are interested in. As far as Swindon goes we have the Oasis Leisure centre where big bands like The Sugababes and I dunno Razorlight and stuff go (I have never been, obviously) and then we have all these tiny little rubbish venues where thirteen year olds play in their rubbish little emo bands.

AND BLOODY HELL SKATE PARKS there's all this massive media coverage over how Swindon needs a Skatepark, and it's like NO WE DON'T. skaters are rubbish and plus they've got a couple of those ramp things over by the Oasis anyway. What we need is just to stop being a town full of wankers.

Do you live in Perth by any chance? because we're replacing Subiaco Oval which is nearly an icon in Perth. It's really stupid it's going to take like 10 years to complete and cost millions upon millions of dollars ergh it's so pointless.

We have this beautiful acres of rolling hills and cattle ranch near our home. The owners want to build 123 single family homes on it, shops and all. It's gonna impact the small country road along side of it and the two connecting roads that lead to the freeway on it. We don't need more single family homes and where are they going to work at? We have buildings closing and moving out of our area. We have to many food stores, one of the 4 drug stores are closing so I don't understand the approval the owners could get. The local golf course wants to close and turn the property over to custom homes! The traffic alone is going to impact me going 7 miles to work alone. I don't want to move, just want the city to rethink about this plan, it's unnecessary.
