ok I was wondering what I could take, thanks

I think what bothers the doctors is that I am so young, almost 30 and have a pretty advance case of it, it just hit me about two years ago, and I had so many tests and whatnot. So I moved back home, my GP sent me for a xray, and yep I had it, pretty bad in my knees and ankles

Hi Michelle
Sorry to here you are suffering. Have you any holistic health practitioners where you are? They look at the whole person in terms of diet, lifestyle, sleeping patterns, mobility and most importantly mental health. Notice I use the word 'health' not illness. Are there any self help groups near you to share your experiences with? Or a national helpline?

Even though I'm a qualified nurse when my daughter became ill the hospital staff didn't know about the condition (cases are 1 - million) I became an overnight expert by researching and talking to parents who had set up a help group. It was good to know there were other people who wern't medical people who I could talk to.

Diclofenic is a useful medication but can cause sleepiness. Ibruprofen (also known as brufen, neurofen) can help with inflamation and gluco samine sulphate (glucosamine)is useful but takes a couple of weeks to take effect. Low impact exercise like swimming helps to keep joints mobile. It also takes the weight off your lower limbs to give some relief.

My friend has a simular condition and has chosen (ordinary) furniture that is specifically for her height so it's easier to get in and out of bed/chairs.

My daughter developed arthritis at age 4yrs after being diagnosed with Kawasakis disease. She has had to endure years of pain and physiotherapy. Poor kid couldn't ride a bike till she was 9yrs old. She has her good & bad days. That's the nature of any joint condition.

Enjoy yourself when you have the energy, rest when you need to, and bless everyday you see the sun

Peace & blessings x
