ugh, it just happened to me with a creation. They named it the same too!

This "IS" getting rediculous, and its gotta be with the new ppl. I think they should some how cross reference new how-to's with others to make sure this isnt happening. It's all good that they delete when its brought to their attention, but its still insulting for this to be going on. I would agree that is flattering when someone posts a version, but to steal it and repost it on the same site, what are these ppl thinking, we wont notice?!!

I also noticed the same how-to thats been posted 3 TIMES! The plastic bag yarn. I was gonna post a how-to for that, well actually I did. Afterwards I did a search for the same thing, so since I saw that there was how-to for it already I deleted it before it got posted. The pix and everyhthing are different but still. I can understand just a creation or version of the same craft, but its annoying to me to see the same HOW-TO multiple times. Its like uh, we know this one already! Oh well, I guess I'm in the right board post (ranting).

I had someone rip off my yoga pants tutorial too. Not so much ripped off, but changed it and was very snooty about it.

Yeah, I saw that one too on the yoga pants and I understand the part about them being "snooty".

And that reminds me, someone asked me why I made a how-to the way I did when I could have done it another way, the gift tags. I was a lil bit peeved about that. I was polite in response, but I wanted to say to say is "cuz its MY how-to". Now how rude is that when someone asks you why you made something in a certain way and say you should have done this way or that instead on a site like this?

I did a how to for lucky stars although one had already been created- but in my defense i did it a completly different way to her! are you fine about that? (just want to check!)

No Ezme, I didn't see that one. But in any case, the plarn how-to is basically the same, there is no way to that differently. May have been different pix and way of explaining how its done but its still the same. So no, your how-to does not fall in the category of "annoying repeat how-tos"

something which has really annoyed me is when peeps put up a how to and they copy all the pictures and everything from the website they found it but dont give any credit to the website they got it of. really annoys moi!
also i dont know whether you have realized but there have been at least 5 different how toos for the how to make a cake in 5 mins.

I hate it, but its so hard to stop it
