New Product testing law in US may put home base craft business out

all because of the companies that are too cheap to do things right and imported all the toys and crap that had lead in it.

it just plain sucks.

That sucks if it is true. I am sure there are some loopholes though. There are loopholes in just about anything.

there prob is loop holes, but it is going to take some poor home crafter who makes things better than any company getting caught and pushing though the court system here, and that is expensive. most folks i know that do home crafts don't make that kind of money from them.

unless they can find a lawyer to take on the case probono, and that is hard. when i ran the non profit animal shelter, we needed a lawyer because we were being sued by a mink/ferret farmer because we got pictures of the conditions on the farm and published them on the web. we found a lawyer that actually defends non profit animal groups, but at a discount. instead of $150 and hour we paid $75 an hour.

it is just a shame.
