Intro

Hi everyone!

I'm Libby and I have been a member of CO+K since 2011! Not been so active recently as life gets in the way of crafting *sigh* I have moved around a lot but I have finally settled in Cumbria, England as a lot of my family are here. I feel really spoiled living in the lake district as the landscape is so beautiful. I have a view of the Fells from my bedroom window and 10 min walk to the coast. For me it doesn't get better than that.

I'm a seasonal ecologist by trade and as that doesn't always pay the bills, a part time online ESL teacher. I'm not sure how great a teacher I am, but me and my students have fun, which is the main thing! With my 2 jobs I'm super busy at the moment so don't have a lot of time for crafting. I'm a multi crafter, so at some point I have tried most things. I knit, crochet, sew, make jewellry (using multiple techniques), embroider, bake....I even upcycled my bed by painting it with chalkboard paint last year. I always have so many ideas but they don't often make it past that stage.

For me, crafting is a social activity. Be it online or with a group of crafty friends. So never feel lonely when you are in front of the tv with your knitting, come and join the CO+K community!

Hi @EmilyCakes I basically look for wildlife, usually as part of the planning process. It tends to be seasonal as most things are active in spring/summer. Thanks for asking.

I've been such a big fan of your projects for ages Libby and what an awesome job. I'd love to do wildlife photography - do you get a chance to do that as part of your job at all? x

Not so much. When we are on site we have limited time and wildlife photography tends to take a lot of time and patience to get the perfect shot. We do however use trail cams. I haven’t caught anything exciting yet, but fingers crossed!
