Dr Who Craft Ideas?
So I need some Dr. Who craft ideas for a guy! I want to make my husband a Dr. Who themed care package and I need some ideas!!!!! He loves David Tennant and I want to maybe make him a journal that looks like a Tardis. I also would like to make him a guy like bracelet out of black cord, and somehow maybe put, "you never forget your first dr." and put David Tennant's name on it after that. So how could I do that? also any tutorials you can find would be great! I have been looking and have a couple ideas, but need more help! thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amanda
Okay, so there is a project called Magic Boxes that was popular not that long ago on this site. There was one version that someone did that looked like a TARDIS...I'll go find a link and paste it here.
I have a male friend who loves doctor who too, so everytime I see a doctor who inspired craft I favourite it. Here's what I have lurking in my favs:

As for the bracelet, how about some kind of flat circlar medallion with holes in 2 ends to attach it to the cord. You could use polymer clay or shrink-plastic and paint/write on it.
thanks girls! I want to try to make a tardis box, but out of wood, and I saw an awesome sewing box (that would be for me) that someone made, but I want something a little more simple. I like the idea of the plastic! I will look into that!
@Libby, have you made the fleece tardis? I wonder if it is hard to do? I LOVEEEEEEEE the notecards! thanks!
My husband and I both love Dr Who. I love the Daleks haha His Dr is David Tennant, I personally like Christopher Eccleston! haha he is my Dr. But Tennant plays it well!
I was also looking at the Dr Who tardis bag that is on here, and I want that for me, wonder how difficult it would be!?
I haven't made the tardis plushie Im afraid (or even looked that closely at the tute). I've never really made a 3D plushie before but its probably like most sewing: make sure the measurements are right and everything else is a doddle.
Have you seen the dalek cookies someone has just posted? Look great, shame the tutes in spanish.
I think I did see the cookies! That would be something cool to make with my husband but I would be afraid to send in a care package. I wouldn't want them messed up! Then they would be "exterminated" daleks hahahaha
I havent uploaded it yet but I made a tardis plushie for my boyfriend for christmas.
It took a very long time, but that was making the pattern, cutting it out and hand sewing it all.
I ended up making a cardboard insert for it as it didnt stand very well.
Ill try and remember to upload a pic of even the project after work as Im literally leaving in 5!
As promised one picture of a tardis!
