where are you from whats in style
here? in the bible belt texas? the guys and girls are preps. i stick out. a lot. AND I LOVE IT!!!
woooo here's to sticking out.
seconded and amen!!
Lets see... Well, I'm in the middle of nebraska, seems like everyone here is a farmer (including my dad!)
So you either have the farming kids, the kids who are obsessed with sports, all the preppy girls and boys, and... me. But its great!
For some reason , I get an odd sort of satisfaction when someone asks me why i'm wearing jeans, a tutu, rainboots, and a leather jacket when its about 90 degrees out. I just say that the weather will probably change in a few hours, which it usually does
from mississippi and these are the latest fads...
coastas- expensive glasses with a c on the side. everyone has them cept me cuz im cheap and i would break them.
kavu bags- cute bags i have one.
sperrys- boat deck shoes...have them too (in 3 diff colors...)
all this seems to be outdoor gear haha
I am really sick of all this 80s stuff thats come back in, it has horrible colours & patterns & no shape other than square shoulders
there's a lot of rockability stuff about too which is cool since I like a lot of it but when every shop is doing stuff that says 'rock n roll' and has skulls and eagles on and just has that rock chick look it puts me off, I don't know why I really don't care what other people are doing (despite the ranting) I guess it's just annoying that something I've been into for ages is now a fad in fashion.
I haaaate the eighties stuff.
That is all.
the grunge style is back as well - find it pretty stupid, no one 'grunge' walked around saying they were grunge and dressed a certain way on purpose.
I don't like when people wear a certain decade, just because it "in style" I wear clothes that I chose from many different types of styles, not just one certain kind.
I don't really like the decades coming back either but IF I could choose a decade style to come back, I'd choose 1920 or 1850.
the kids are still wearing girl pants, and thin head bands, but around their foreheads. Its not very stylish.
The older kids just wear whatever is hot in LA at the moment.
I live in Phoenix.
Pretty Much every one Here on Oxfordshire wears Skinny Jeans and Shirts! Or Baggy Shirts/ Boy friend blazers! and the rest of them wear Shorts with leggings! :S
Im from the Netherlands, and we got alot of various styles, emo/punk/preppy/sluts xD
In arkasas no one really has great style that i have seen they still thin uggs are so in style and i hate them ahhh sucks
In Belgium, especially when you live in Antwerp, you see a lot of styles. Now the hypes are:
- "Johnen" and the female versions of it: a lot of white (must: white shoes), 80s hair (long hair in the neck) and jeans trousers or jogging pants with moccasins and white socks over the pants. The girl version involves short skirts, much cleavage, fake tan and lots of make-up with a hair colour that would make Dolly Parton herself jealous.
- The 'modern' version of scene (now it's called hardcore). Boys with caps and shaven heads. Girls and boys wear Drop Dead, Dead Serious,... It's fancy to say you're straight edge.
- The mob: dressed in H&M and as original as putting cheese on your sandwich. Girls in flower dresses and low boots are also overrepresented.
