use white eyeliner on the waterline and a little on the lower lash line, use eye liner and eyeshadow close to the upper lash line and emphasize your eyelashes ha ha everyone is right, that's pretty much it Happy oh if you are in to the cat-eyed eyeliner, make the flick on your eyelid don't connect it with the bottom eyeliner (if that makes sense let me know if you need me to clarify) Happy

the one simple makeup rule you should always use.. dark makes things deeper and smaller.. lighter colors.. makes things appear larger and more open. So using dark eyeliner as heavy as you do.. will only close your eyes more.. light, brighter colors will work for you.. also, you have close set eyes.. the same applies... dont use dark colors on the inner or outer corners.. that will also close them in.. use light colors on the actual lid to make your eyes look more open and larger

Blue, black and white colours on your eyes always make them far more brighter and appear bigger too.

Okay, I didn't read what others said, but here is my input, as a professional makeup artist:

You seem to have the same eye shape as me, and as such, you need to open the eye. you can still use plenty of dark colors; you just need to learn to use light ones strategically.

here is a quick tutorial; feel free to message me if you dont understand something, etc.:

pat a yellow-based concealer under your eyes, in the corners, and on your eyelids. you wont need as much for this as you think you do. feel free to put a (thin!) second coat underneath your eyes if you happen to have bad shadows.

use a tiny bit of loose powder on a small, fluffy brush to set it so it doesnt crease.

USE AN EYELASH CURLER to open the lashes. the more curled they are, the bigger your eyes look.

coat the top lashes only with black mascara. i prefer waterproof, since my lashes fall if i dont use something that will make them stay. ;)

line the top lashes of your eye with black. dont line the bottom of your eye. this is what will keep them from looking small, set too close together, and sunken in. like others have said, a little white liner in the corners and on the bottom helps them look a LOT bigger.

from this point, you can leave them like this, or you can start in with eye shadow. i recommend using a light, barely-noticeable white or iridescent loose eyeshadow if you dont want to mess with a bunch of contouring and colors.

if you want to use darker colors of eyeshadow, keep them in the crease of your eye, or the outer corners. you should always use some lighter color, because light reflects light, and that, again, is what will make your eyes bigger.

i hope this made sense! :-D again, feel free to contact me if you have any questions, etc. Happy

the best way to make eyes appear larger is to go lighter. Brown eye liner vs. Black and dabs of white under the eyebrows and in the inside corner of the eye. Lighter eye shadows and an eye lash curler before mascara goes a long way with making eyes appear larger.
